This one-day programme is designed for healthcare professionals and others working in patient-facing roles who may be required to assess and manage deteriorating patients or participate in resuscitation attempts as part of their duties. Delivered by experienced instructors with operational and clinical backgrounds, the course combines evidence-based teaching, practical skills development and realistic simulation scenarios.
Throughout the course, learners will develop skills in patient assessment, airway management, oxygen therapy, recognition and management of cardiac arrest, high-quality CPR, safe defibrillation and effective team working during medical emergencies. Emphasis is placed on the early recognition of patient deterioration and the practical application of life support interventions in out-of-hospital settings.
Successful learners will receive the Qualsafe Level 4 Award in Out of Hospital Adult Immediate Life Support (RQF), a nationally recognised qualification that supports safe and effective patient care across a range of healthcare and emergency response environments.
