Gain a nationally recognised FREC 3 qualification through the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) route and build on your existing emergency care experience.

This intensive two-day programme is designed for holders of eligible qualifications such as FPOS, RTACC, Immediate Emergency Care (IEC) and other recognised pre-hospital care awards who wish to achieve the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (RQF). The course focuses on bridging the gap between previous qualifications and current FREC 3 requirements, covering key theory, practical skills and assessment criteria.

Ideal for those working in security, close protection, event medical services and emergency response roles, the programme combines focused classroom learning with practical, scenario-based training delivered by experienced instructors.

Please note: This is a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) course. Entry requirements apply, and learners must hold an eligible qualification and provide evidence of this prior to enrolment. Active Community First Responders (CFRs) and serving Firefighters who hold an Immediate Emergency Care (IEC) qualification are normally eligible for this route.

Build on your existing emergency care experience and achieve the Qualsafe Level 3 Award in First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) through our Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) course in Suffolk.

This intensive two-day programme is designed for learners who already hold eligible qualifications and experience within emergency care, including active Community First Responders (CFRs), Firefighters holding an Immediate Emergency Care (IEC) qualification, and holders of recognised pre-hospital care awards such as FPOS and RTACC. The course provides a streamlined route to achieving the FREC 3 qualification by focusing on the additional knowledge, skills and assessment requirements needed to meet current qualification standards.

Delivered by experienced instructors with operational and clinical backgrounds, the programme combines focused classroom learning with practical training and realistic scenarios, allowing learners to build upon their existing knowledge and demonstrate competence across a range of emergency care situations.

The FREC 3 qualification is widely recognised across the security, event medical and pre-hospital care sectors and meets the emergency first aid requirements for learners progressing into close protection roles.
